The Road Victims Trust provide free emotional and practical support to all persons affected by a fatal road collision in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. This involves face to face counselling for as long as is needed, and support through the criminal and coronial inquests.

Every year approx. 1750 die of the roads of the UK. Nationally there is a dearth of support available for those affected by a road death. People who have experienced bereavement through road death are vulnerable in the extreme and this can manifest in a number of detrimental ways to physical and mental health.The Road Victims Trust provide free and unconditional emotional and practical support to all persons affected by a road death
Solution
Working in partnership with the Police Forces of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, the Road Victims Trust will offer its services to all people affected by a road death. This will consist of a bespoke Counselling service that meets the needs of the individual and starts to move them towards a position of coping and recovery. The service will be provided by a team of 50 local Volunteers who are supported by a small team of highly experienced and qualified staff.
