Food for the Hungry have implemented over 900 learning and savings groups for oppressed women in Bangladesh. These groups are empowering over 13000 women in the areas of business skills, literacy, health and human rights. We are aim to raise funds to support 25 groups in 2016

Many parts of Bangladesh suffer from abject poverty and the abuse and oppression of women. This leads to high infant mortality rates, girls being married well before the legal age limit. Very poor resilience to natural disasters and disease and very low self esteem of women and girls in particular.
