  • “Watching the children, and having fun with them, its just phenomenal. The camp makes a huge difference to them.“

    — Professor Jane Cummings, ex Chief Nursing Officer for England (2018)

  • “Over the Wall offers families the opportunity to discover the laughter they thought they ‘d lost and discover the independence they children never knew they had.”

    — Kenneth Branagh, Patron, Over The Wall

The children we support typically have very low confidence & self-esteem. They tend to be isolated from their peers, lonely & set apart. Life-limiting illnesses & disabilities often preclude children from participating in mainstream life, due to the complexity of their medical needs. Seriously ill children experience severe disruption to their education, natural & social development. Physical evidence of their illnesses & disabilities can subject children to bullying & rejection by their peers.

Our camps are designed & proven to complement the ongoing treatment cycle of children with serious illnesses, to increase self-belief, enhance their ability to cope & enable them to achieve their true potential. Our camps are uniquely nurturing & supportive environments; campers achieve things they previously never thought possible. OTW camps are unique due to the level of medical care provided; a team of volunteer doctors &nurses attend every camp providing 'home from home' nursing care.
