Forever Hounds Trust rescues, rehabilitates and finds homes for unwanted, abused or abandoned greyhounds and lurchers. Our amazing team of volunteers is ready 24-7 to bring dogs to safety. For us, Christmas Day is just another day in dog rescue.
Forever Hounds Trust works tirelessly for the welfare and rescue of greyhounds, lurchers, whippets and other sighthounds; our vision is a day when all of these dogs can live the life they deserve, free from risk or need. These wonderful hounds desperately need our help, often having been abandoned, abused, taken to dog pounds or retired from race tracks. Many come into our care with injuries and sickness caused by cruelty or neglect. For others, the scars are emotional, as well as physical.
Our work is led by volunteers all over the country, who co-ordinate the rescue, care and homing of dogs. We aim to home over 300 dogs per year, providing kennelling facilities, emergency treatment, veterinary care, behavioural advice and post-homing support to secure the perfect ‘forever homes’. For 23 years we have been a lifeline for dogs in need and have found loving homes for 10,000 dogs. We are here every day for the hounds that need us – to give them the second chance at life they deserve.
