Every day, 31 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour and 14 people die from a brain tumour. At least 102,000 children and adults are estimated to be living with a brain tumour in the UK currently, but investment in research is low and diagnosis still takes too long. We know brain tumours are phenomenally complex and only research will help us to shed light on this cruel disease, improving diagnosis and delivering better, safer treatments.
Solution
We know that investing in the best research globally is the only way to change outcomes for families affected by a brain tumour. From experimenting with 3D-printed tumour cells to editing cancer genes, all our research is rigorously peer reviewed so we only fund the highest-quality work, with the biggest potential impact. Significant research investment has helped improve survival rates and treatment options for other cancer types. We need your help to speed this up for brain tumour patients.
