Thanks to support from the Office of the Third Sector, the government department which works with the voluntary sector. Community Foundations and other organisations throughout England have £50 million to offer in match funding for donors wanting to encourage and fund the long term growth of local small charities and voluntary organisations, which provide effective support to people in need. St Petroc’s Society received a crisis fund from the CCF. St Petroc's was the first organisation in Cornwall to provide accommodation and housing related support services to meet the needs of the single homeless. The services offered are in no way a solution to the problems faced on a day by day basis by homeless people living on the streets of Cornwall. Instead they give much needed breathing space to some of the most vulnerable people in Cornwall. They give hope and much needed support to ensure that every opportunity is given to everyone who wishes to take that first step back into the community. To benefit from the match funding, donations must be added to our endowment, ensuring continuous long term benefit to people in need in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Every year your gift would be part of this endowment fund contributing to help local people and to that effect is a gift that keeps on giving. Gifts of any size are welcome.
