Existing indoor sports facilities at the club are fully utilised every evening, leading the older age groups (13 upwards) to drift away. The new area will provide the capacity to lay on coaching and activities to keep the older age group involved in sport and the Youth Club's other activities. During the day the pitch will be made available to local schools and organisations. The cost of laying and floodlighting the games area on the land that the Club owns is £250k. A strong volunteer base will provide the supervision required once installed.
