Situation
We started our charity in 2005 to provide a permanent and sustainable home for the local football, cricket, tennis clubs, the local agricultural show and the local scout group. Since then we have largely achieved this by acquiring a 28 acre site and constructing a new football pitch, cricket square, 3 all weather tennis courts and a children's playground as well as the necessary infrastructure to support this. All that remains is to raise funding for the changing rooms, showers and toilets that the increased membership of the member groups require. This will allow us to address the issue of rural deprivation facing our community in the aftermath of the BSE and foot and mouth crises. So far we have raised £115K towards our target of £250K with several major applications pending.
