Registered Charity in England and Wales (1153116)
As you may be aware a number of sports will receive no funding for the London 2012 games. The consequence of this is that in order for us to compete we will need to raise the funds ourselves. A group of Paralympians have decided to create their own trust to enable them to compete at London 2012. The charitable status would enable our fundraising to benefit from Gift Aid and the fundraising would be conducted through The Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It Trust. The trust would have the following objectives. 1. To raise funds to enable the Paralympic Football Team to compete at London 2012. 2. To raise funds for other Paralympic athletes to enable them to achieve their full potential. 3. Provide Sports scholarships at Universities for Paralympic Athletes. 4. Enable children of all ages the opportunity to participate in a healthy, active lifestyle.
