The local community wish to bring the world of arts such as drama and music into an area of deprivation. The community wish to establish a community choir, form drama and music groups and bring touring productions into the local area. In particular we wish to address issues of isolation for older people, develop talents and skills of local people of all ages, broaden the horizons of the community and help them recognize their own value and local talents.

By refurbishing the Community Hall we will have a Centre of Excellence which will enhance opportunities for local people. By developing the Community Centre to encompass the Arts young and older people can come together and break down barriers. It will help address local issues: anti-social behaviour, isolation, high unemployment, enhance the capacity of the local community, build community spirit and provide new opportunities to create community regeneration via the vehicle of arts.
