There are a number of children who have no interest in reading, many of whom find difficulty in building up words from their letter sounds. The Welsh sounds are different to that of the English language. We rtherefore aim to create a scheme which parents and schools can use on a one to one basis.
It ran from 12:00 PM, 1 August 2010 to 12:00 PM, 1 November 2010
Help the dyslexic individual develop reading skills in the Welsh language, and create greater interest in reading.
We will work with students wthrough teaching them the Welsh code(the sounds and spellings of those sounds), along with blending and segmentation. It will also take account the age and life experience of the learner. Older students need age-appropriate activities and materials. Older students need to change the way they feel about learning. Confidence building is the key feature of the programme.
