Nothing on the island can be taken for granted. Lundy is not able to generate consistently enough funds to support future major projects. This leaves the island extremely reliant on the generosity of others and is why we are asking for donations. We want to create a sustainable future for Lundy by investing in infrastructure, supporting its unique eco-system and educating more people about this beautiful and fragile environment.

Although all of the income generated by the island’s activities is reinvested on Lundy, this only pays for day-to-day running and routine maintenance. We have to raise funds to undertake projects essential to Lundy’s survival, such as those involved with conserving the unique ecosystem, educating visitors about the care of such a fragile environment, and creating a sustainable future.
