Children of the Andes employs two permanent Field Officers in Colombia. Our Field Office enables us to provide ongoing technical support to our partners in areas such as financial management, project development and strategic planning. It also helps us to facilitate links between partner organisations and others working in the same areas. Field officers also help keep Children of the Andes up-to-date with changing issues and emerging and under-addressed areas of need facing vulnerable children in Colombia, and identify and research potential new partner NGOs. £20,000 would cover the costs of one of our field officers for a year, enabling COTA to help our Colombian partners develop and improve their services and reach more vulnerable children.
