Many of our service users have severe and profound disabilities and are diagnosed with more than one condition. Despite the wide variation, there are key factors which most people with LD‚Äôs typically face. These include difficulties with communication, learning and retaining learning and sensory processing issues such as motor coordination and hyper or hyposensitivity to sensory stimuli.
It will support their learning and communication, improve their independence and enhance their day to day enjoyment when attending our services. They will also help to enhance their ability to participate in activities, ultimately improving the quality of health and social care we can provide to these vulnerable young people.
