A degree with the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich is beyond the reach of the people who will benefit most from it. NRI attracts students from developed and developing countries, who often are unable to afford the fees and associated costs of studying on a postgraduate programme. No government funding is available to support postgraduate students; we need your help to provide our students with the opportunity to advance life changing research in the developing world.

Programmes of study at the NRI are designed to provide our students with specific skills, knowledge and techniques which bring about real solutions to problems affecting economic growth and development in Africa. One of the student recipients of an NRI scholarship is currently identifying the impact of climate change on pastoralist livelihoods in Ethiopia. Following the completion of his study, the student hopes to return to Ethiopia where he will use his newly gained skill base.
