We invite persons to support this project. It costs £10 to provide a support session to a women in Refuge. £5 will provide a child with a 2 hour therapeutic play session. Those who are affected by Domestic Abuse need these session to help them come to terms with the Abuse they have witnessed

Situation
Those experiencing Domestic Abuse often feel isolated, excluded, suffer low self esteem and lack confidence. Children are often traumatized by the abuse they have witnessed. They often under achieve at school and fail to reach their true potential. Evidence shows that many children from abusive relationships do not recognize healthy relationships and the cycle of abuse continues. Children often blame themselves for the abuse and feel they should have done more to protect the abused parent
Solution
Initially the project will give Crisis support, settling into Refuge, ongoing emotional support, gateway to services. Each client will receive an individual support package tailored to their needs. This includes healthy relationship awareness training equipping clients with skills to identify unhealthy relationships, confidence and esteem building, support to access education. Work with clients to strengthen family relationships. Support to settle into the community and achieve full potential.
