we believe that this new generation has a highly developed sense of justice and injustice. However it is far too often focussed on themselves and their own small world. We hope to broaden their world and offer them an opportunity to bring justice and hope to people in the world who are more in need then themselves. through doing this we hope create a generation that go on to see justice done in all areas of our society and the world

    Situation

Working in cooperation with the secondary schools, we propose to take 2 or 4 key students on a trip to see injustice in the third world. We would work with them to make a video highlighting the need which they would then bring back to their whole school which would then engage in fund raising and campaigning to meet the needs highlighted in the video. At the end of the year, when the funds are raised and campaigns have been undertaken we would then take a larger group (10-20) out to the same place to build relationship and be involved in providing the need. for example we would take them to a village in africa where the chidlren have no school room or equipment. the school would then fund raise for the building and campaign for equipment. at the end of the year a team would go out to help build the school room and deliver the equipment and meet the children who they have helped. if you can imagine the benefits would be widespread and longlasting. beyond the obvious needs met in the village, the school children would have a deeper appreciation for their own education, they would have a wider understanding of justice and injustice and of the world, they would feel proud of what they have achieved and so have an improved self image, and they would have a belief that they can be part of the solution to some of the big problems in the world.
