Combining/morphing outdoor activities with the arts. What about rock climbing and dance? Canoeing and drawing? Caving with collage? Extreme Art Just one of the many projects delivered by Mobex North East. This is a project that is very, very different and yet very simple in its delivery. It encourages young people to focus on the world around them and how they as individuals can influence changes in this world. Working with young and disadvantaged people of all abilities - combining Art with Outdoor Activities, for example rock climbing with dance; hill walking with flag making; canoeing with drawing; mining with collage. Art works are as large as we can make them - this allows participants to engage with the outdoor environment in a way that is completely different to normal outdoor activities.

Extreme Art is about taking art as far as you can while participating in an outdoor activity. Mobex North East is one of the leading charities in the North East who use adventurous outdoor activities and art activities as a tool towards personal and social development with young people. Extreme Art is BIG ART!!! The bigger the better!! Young people taking part in an Extreme Art project quickly build their confidence, self esteem, team skills, communication skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills. Whatever your ability you can take part in an Extreme Art project. Extreme Art hits all five outcomes within Every Child Matters. As signatories to the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto our Extreme Art project helps to raise achievement. Extreme Art is EXCITING ART!!! It's art that will help to make sense of the world by making links between feelings and learning!! Extreme Art is FUN ART!!!
