The scale of the crisis is huge: severe drought is threatening the lives of over 10 million people in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda. Crops have failed and cattle have died, and millions of poor families have been left with very little to survive on. In South Sudan conflict has disrupted food supplies. In all cases children are the most vulnerable.

Plan has staff on the ground and we are able to make a vital difference right now. We are responding most strongly in Ethiopia, where an estimated 3.2 million people need emergency food and non-food assistance. We will focus in the Oromia, SNNP, Amhara and Addis Ababa regions.
