    Situation

The Skills Exchange has been very popular with retired, unemployed and isolated people. The members as well as offering help to each other also organise a popular weekly coffee morning and social events. Some elderly members especially have welcomed the chance to use their skills again and feel appreciated. The Skills Exchange operates in a very disadvantaged inner city area of Nottingham. It employs a worker who recruits new members and makers sure that a number of safeguards are in place to protect members. One of these is that exchnages are always arranged through the worker.
