    Situation

This is a financial education project with local secondary schools. As an advice agency specialising in debt, we are concerned at the poor level of financial literacy amongst our younger clients. We will work with schools to develop and deliver a complete and comprehensive financial education package for year 11 pupils (and their parents - when appropriate). This will equip them for life in our credit-driven society by giving them a practical understanding of the consequences and options for borrowing and saving money. All year 11 students will have a savings account opened in their name at a local bank/building society. £100 will be placed in the account as an incentive to save.
