Our Vision - that individuals are valued and respected, and feel a sense of community and belonging, so that they may become integrated and contributing members of society. St Peter and All Souls Catholic Church stands at the centre of Peterborough, a city that is a magnet for migrants, where over 100 languages are spoken. The Willow Centre will enable us to build on and extend our services, involve a wider community and reach out to more people, of all ages, race and beliefs.

Situation
We have long identified a need to offer not merely a place of worship, but the first port of call for help and guidance, a home to the community, bringing warmth and direction to the deprived and isolated, regardless of race or religion. What we do is provide the platform, guidance and assistance that will aid the community for the long term. Much of the common issues faced by people are part of the cycle that results from long periods of economic deprivation. In partnership with local agencies, we have been, and will continue to through our activities, encourage interaction and understanding, develop skills as well as build confidence, to help empower people to be self sufficient, and become integrated and contributing members of society, thereby lessening the burden on both the state and local charities. The overall project has an estimated cost of £786,000. With expenditure to date and funds raised the project is still some £400,000 short of being realised.
