Situation
Children and young people are particularly emotionally, socially, educationally and materially vulnerable when it comes to dealing with the loss of a parent or loved one. They are more vulnerable to depression, illness, isolation, underachievement, abuse and neglect. In this largely rural area where children and families experience rural poverty there is limited or in some area no specific counselling support available for children and young people.
Solution
By providing a specific contact and counselling service for any child or young person dealing with or facing bereavement or a life-threatening illness within the High Peak community.
