A financially sustainable project that offers Kenyan orphans and disadvantaged kids the opportunity to establish their own Bee Keeping Enterprises at school. Through each enterprise, students learn a high value, environmentally sustainable skill and pay their fees to stay in school.

    Situation

    TAMTF is looking for matching funding to £10,000 already invested in this project. With this £10,000 these schools will be able to: - Establish five school Bee Keeping Enterprises, run and managed by students - Use these enterprises as a platform for teaching environmentally sustainable land management and business skills to the students - Reinvest profits from these enterprises in improved facilities, educational resources and scholarships for students from the poorest families There will be 250 direct student beneficiaries from this project, with a further 2,200 students indirectly benefiting from the increase income each enterprise will generate for their school.
