    Situation

When our volunteers visit our wish children to talk about their wishes, we ask them to think about four types of wish – a wish to be someone, to meet someone, to go somewhere or to own something. From these ideas the children choose their top three in order of preference. I Wish To Be could be a princess or a policeman, a zoo keeper or a truck driver. I Wish To Meet may be a pop star, their footballing hero or Mickey and Minnie. I Wish To Go could be a holiday or a special place; we even had a wish to go to an ice cream factory! I Wish to Have may be a lap top, home cinema system, a spa pool or sensory equipment. The variety of wishes we receive and the varying number of family members mean that the real cost of our wishes can be anything from a few hundred pounds to upwards of £10,000! With the average cost of a wish being £4,000, we are looking for sponsors who can donate £16,000 to sponsor a magical wish in each of these four categories.
