Make-A-Wish has over 400 volunteers and 36 members of staff. Continuous training is needed to ensure that everyone ‘working’ for Make-A-Wish is doing so as effectively as possible.

Make-A-Wish volunteers and staff are involved in many facets of the wishgranting and fundraising process. From visiting and speaking with wish children and their families, to making presentations to school, hospitals and organisations, both staff and volunteers need specialist training. Many of the children we have are non-communicative or have behavioral issues or learning difficulties. Knowing how to communicate with them most effectively would ensure we are always granting the most appropriate and special magical wish for them. Presentations made to groups of people help fuel key fundraising and generate more wish referrals. Having strong public speaking skills can make our message even more powerful. The training we require would cost £30,000 to cover both staff and volunteers. Can you help to take Make-A-Wish to the next level?
