Cornwall has the most widespread incidence of fuel poverty in the South West and the highest number of excess winter deaths in England and Wales. The project aims to prevent vulnerable people from getting into fuel poverty and to help those who are already finding it difficult to afford the cost of heating their home. Most at risk are the elderly, children, lone parents and people with long term illnesses and disabilities.

The project would employ a specialist case worker to provide in depth advice and help to vulnerable people who have been referred to us by frontline health, social care and charity partners.
