Situation
We are currently at full capacity every evening and we would like to be able to fully utilise the site we have. The current hall was built with money fundraised in 2000-01 and now there is a demonstrable need for further expansion. We have built this project and managed it over the last 8 years and see the need for activities such as indoor football as well as more space for arts and recreational activities. The aim of the project is to continue to attract and provide space for recreational and sports facilities in an expanding village where ther is no evening transport to amenities. The goal is to provide space for late evening footbal to get young people off the streets. We have had architectural plans drawn up and requested the inclusion of sustainable technology such as solar thermal water heating and a biomass boiler. The cost is 600,000 - approx. 300,000 for the main new hall and 300,000 for storage, kitchen, improved disabled facilities, meeting / training rooms.
