Mindroom Direct Help and Support provides an immediate outreach service by phone, email or in person for families where there has been a recent diagnosis of, or concern about, learning difficulties, for health care professionals and for teachers about methods of providing support in the classroom.

Situation
Mindroom aims to solve the problem of children's additional support needs being unrecognised and therefore unsupported. This leads to loss of self esteem, not reachingpotential and can cause bullying and mental health issues. Left untreated it can result in young people adults with a learning disability one of those who are 10 times more likely to be unemployed than the general population.
Solution
Mindroom provides information, advice and support to empower parents to act as advocates for their children and obtain the additional support they are entitled to by law. This means information about learning difficulites, behavious management, as well as legal rights and entitlements.
