In the 6 week holidays of 2009 we provided the skatepark for free every day - including weekends - to all members of the public under 18yrs, those over 18 were charged £2 entry, throughout the summer we received a total of 8'500 visitors averaging 330 people a day & allowing somewhere for everyone to play/ hang out. bbc report - This year we aim to provide the facility again for the UK to use but not only host it free, we intend to develop projects with the local Police, Council & Youth Service to allow more children access to the facility & provide more activities for all involved. The local police will be hosting competitions to allow children to get to know their local officers on a first name basis, & the youth service will continue to offer advice & support to all visitors. To accomplish this we need to raise in the region of £40'000 to cover general costs. If you would like to know more please feel free to contact me Many thanks Elliott
