    Situation

1 in 4 LGBT people will experience domestic violence. However, while these figures may be similar to heterosexual domestic violence, the levels of support available are not: lack of refuge space, no training on the ways LGBT DV differs, etc. Our awareness raising work in services such as The Police, Probation Service, GPs, etc, is vital so people taking the first step to get help can reach someone who has a full understanding of the issues faced. With help from you, we can take our campaigns to the next level and increase reporting of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans domestic violence and the services required to help.
