    Situation

    The project aims are to help deaf/hard of hearing people in the following ways: • To improve their basic English skills • To improve their basic Maths skills • To be more responsible for their own decisions • To support with training courses • To support with accessing further and higher education • To support with accessing employment • To support with work experience placements • To improve independent living skills • To support with accessing local services • To work towards improving their confidence and self esteem • To set up peer support groups • To set up job clubs • To achieve national certification for training • To work with other organisations aimed at supporting young people
