Our vision is to see the Turkanan region provided with an educational base which allows all children to be schooled from the ages of 3 through to 18. The deliverable from this will be a generation of Turkanans who will attend university and reflect the national average rather than be its poorest cousin. We can do this in nursery school years for £16.60 per child per year. Our first goal is sustaining two nursery schools that are nearing completion. This vision is already being realized and we are currently in the process of completing 2 nursery schools that will start to educate over 600 children and start the foundation of this educational system. We have built one and the provincial administration have been so impressed that they have given us one of the few buildings in the area to develop as a second school. The project is therfore staged. Our first requirement is £10,500 to sustain 600 children in nursery education in 2009. Then £22,748 to build two new nursery schools. Then £10,500 to sustain the new schools. Then to provide secondary schooling. All of this is in a developed PLAN which is being delivered by the BBF together with an incredible young Turkanan who is on the ground delivering our endstate, with a large supporting cast in Nairobi.
