In 2012 Buxton Festival will include 2,000 local people in free creative arts activity. Projects will include a children's opera, concerts for the elderly and children with special needs, a composition project for teenagers and a poetry and photography competition.

Situation
Buxton Festival is aware that there are some local people who are unable to attend the main Festival. This could be due to their age, transport links, special requirements, disability or many other reasons.
Solution
While we try to make our central programme as accessible as possible we also offer a programme of community and education events to include those who are excluded. The programme is designed for specific groups of our community and delivered by specialist musicians and artists.
