    Situation

The National Star College's helps severley disabled students to unlock their potential and take control of their lives. Our groundbreaking work has gone from strength to strength, but our buildings and facilities are becoming overstretched and outdated. In 2006 The Government's Learning and Skills Council (LSC) pledged to cover half the cost of a multi-million programme to upgrade our facilities. Last year, having mismanaged it's funds the LSC withdrew its pledge. Despite a massive campaign by the College for funding to be reinstated, the pledge has not been honoured. The College needs to raise £1.5Million to finish this vital improvement programme, which will make an incredible difference to the lives of young disabled people.
