The Mental Capacity Act is a law to give vulnerable sections of the community the right to make their own decisions or be helped to make those decisions or finally to have someone act in their best interest. it is important for parents, carers and professionals to realise the implications of this Act and how it can empower learning disabled people. Our project is to be used as a training tool, delivered by learning disabled people to professionals to help them understand the implications and value of the Act.
