    Situation

Our average grant is £1000 and that can often make the difference to a child's life in itself. This project aims to provide £365,000 to be able to change the life of one disabled child every day next year. - There is no statutory right for young people with disabilities to be provided with the equipment they need by the Government or the NHS so we fill that gap. - We provide this service for young people right up to the age of 25 - We believe that in these young lives even a short wait for an essential piece of equipment can make a huge difference so we aim to turn around every application within 28 days and are working to reduce this further - Each piece of equipment is gifted to the child concerned, it is not a loan, and it is owned by the child not the parents or guardians. Our children love that and they are very proud of their new independence or abilities. - We provide on-going support and the children can come back for further grants as their needs develop or they outgrow their equipment.
