Sometimes patients stay in our In-Patient Unit (IPU) for a few days only, but others can be there for weeks or months at a time. The IPU is a safe, clean and pleasant space and with the help of our nursing and housekeeping staff we keep it so on a daily basis. However, it's in need to refurbishment.

Situation
Like with any of our homes, time takes its toll on all buildings and our In-Patient Unit is now in real need of improvement and refurbishment. We want the IPU feel like a Home from Home for our in-patients. The Government only covers around 20% of our costs, so we need to raise over £15,000 every single day just to keep all our normal, day-to-day services running.
Solution
The total cost of the project will be in the region of £100,000 and we would like to raise as much as possible, as soon as possible, so that work can begin. To get the work started, we are hoping to raise half of the total needed (£50,000) as soon as possible. Every penny donated will help. We want to do more for our patients: by making a gift, you will help patients facing what could be the last weeks or days of their life, spend this time in the best environment possible.
