Situation

The furniture re-distribution project operated by HTHC Ltd collects and stores all manner of household items including large items of furniture, small household items (such as kettles, irons, cutlery, pans etc), clothing, food and bedding for redistribution to recently housed clients. This service is completely free of any charges. Clients must usually have been re-housed within the last 3 months to benefit from this service however there are circumstances where this rule would not apply. This service is partly funded by the charity shop that we operate from Bolton Street in Chorley. Profit from surplus goods assists with the running costs of our van and warehouse unit rent. Local fund raising events are held throughout the year to source additional funding. We support the reducing, reusing and recycling of waste in Lancashire and are members of the Lancashire Community Recycling Network and submit monthly reports under Lancashire County Council’s recycle credit scheme.
