Bridgend born trumpeter, Huw Morgan, will visit young trumpet players in Carmarthenshire and share a workshop with them on the art of the trumpet. Huw, Brass Winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year 2006 will inspire the next generation of trumpet players to continue their study and enjoyment of making music. In addition, a brass quintet from Sinfonia Cymru will perform alongside a local silver band in an outreach project prior to the orchestra's concert at Pontyberem Memorial Hall on 23 January 2009 when Huw Morgan will perform Haydn's Trumpet Concerto. All participants in each project will be offered the opportunity to attend this concert.
