loan of several Emily Bronte related items from National institutions in London for display for 3 months over this summer. We have been asked at the last minute to cover extra security costs of ¬£20,000 without these the loan will not go ahead.

We have having a exhibition in the Parsonage bringing together all our Emily Bronte related objects to tell her live story and to celebrate the most enigmatic Bronte. To add to the impact of the exhibition we have asked the National Portrait Gallery and the British Library to lend us items from their collections. This will also give people the opportunity to see these things in the house that they were created giving them a special significance. We have at the last moment been faced with added security costs and need ¬£20,000 to meet these, can you help? If we do not find the money they will not come which would deprive the people of Yorkshire of this very special opportunity
