SIFA Fireside is working with City College and Birmingham Libraries to get our disadvantaged service users back into society through using email and the internet. We need help to expand this project and upgrade our IT equipment.

Situation
Our clients are not only excluded from society through poverty and disadvantage, but this is mirrored through their lack of access to web-based information and resources which increases their social isolation. The end goal is that 60 marginalised people will have learnt how to access email and the internet and will have used these skills to make a big difference to their health and social networks. Of these 20 people will go on to volunteering, training or employment. £390 will run this project for a week while £500 will buy a laptop.
