Ph.D. Scholarships - a great way to make a difference!

Haifa University focuses on implementing applied research to benefit the communities of the Galilee, a region which holds the key to Israel's future. Ph.D. students are the foundation to this work and we aim to attract more bright young academics to pursue this path and shape a brighter reality for Israel.

The University of Haifa is the first and only comprehensive research university in Israel's north – the Galilee. As an academic institution, we are committed to develop this region, which is one of the most challenged in Israel. Just two hours away, the social, economic and cultural gaps between the North and the Centre of Israel are vast. As the Centre becomes quickly saturated, it’s the North that holds the key to the future of Israel. We consider the link-up between academic excellence and social responsibility as the flag ship of Haifa University, and so we actively integrate higher education with applied research and community outreach to address regional challenges as well as universal social issues. The key and foundation to academic research are our Ph.D. students. We ask for your support in providing scholarships which will allow us to attract the most promising young academics and put their bright minds to work towards shaping a brighter reality for Israeli society. A one-year Ph.D. scholarship costs £7,500.
