'Wonderful, really loved it. This is a real treat for inner city kids to have a taste of the countryside. Great staff, helpful and friendly.'
'Keep up the lovely atmosphere and programme of free activities for all ages.'
In our borough of Tower Hamlets we have one of the highest rates of childhood obesity and lack of green open spaces for children to play and enjoy. Due to the lack of open safe spaces it is harder for communities to come together and share experiences and allow for children to meet with their peers. There is little access to fresh vegetables at affordable prices and social cohesion amongst the diverse groups is an issue.
Wild Club encourages children and families to come together and share the space in a fun and educational way. It will increase understanding of what to eat for a healthy lifestyle and give access to fresh affordable vegetables and fruit. It will also allow for people to come together in a safe and nurturing environment on the Farm. By providing access to nutritious lunches we can ensure that no child will go without a hot healthy meal.
