Many of the young people we know have unhealthy lives, low self esteem, little hope for their future, limited ability to take opportunities and negative attitudes towards their community. The majority of their families receive State or Local Authority Benefits due to low incomes or worklessness. These young people are at risk of: exclusion from school, becoming NEET (not in education employment or training), becoming a young parent, exploitation, or getting involved with gangs.

The gym and games room will host positive activities designed to develop participants in areas important to their social and economic futures. We create opportunities for young people to: • Grow their self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence. • Improve key social skills • Improved their attitudes and behaviour towards communities (i.e, families, peers, teachers and/or employers).
