    Situation

Our “life changing” challenging activity programme has the ability to turn a “can’t do” mentality into a “can do” approach, to teach team working, social skills, build confidence and self esteem all whilst having fun! But many of our visitors are financially disadvantaged and without bursary assistance cannot take advantage of the benefits that the “Calvert Experience” provides. At present we have a waiting list for those who want to visit but insufficient funds to offer them a bursary.

    Solution

We aim to raise £120,000 enabling us to offer bursary assistance to more disabled individuals & their families on low incomes and to provide more Young Carers weekends for Devon’s Young Carers. More disabled and disadvantaged individuals will benefit from a challenging outdoor adventure break like Lily- see quote below “Seeing Lily who spends most of her day in a wheelchair get out and abseil was AMAZING! Her sense of achievement was huge, there was nothing that was 'off-limits' to her”
