Tilinanu Orphanage

Tilinanu already provides 40 orphaned girls with a loving home. We now aim to provide 40 disadvantaged orphaned boys, frequently sleeping rough, with a second chance in life. The orphan care homes will provide the children with a loving home, parents, education and a healthy, balanced diet.

There are many disadvantaged, vulnerable and abused children living in in Lilongwe and surrounding villages, many who are sick with HIV that have nobody to care for them. The project aims to bring these children to safety, providing them with a loving home, health care, food and education. Tilinanu has built a successful girls orphanage, which caters for girls in this predicament. We would now like to cater for the boys.

The Orphan care homes will provide many disadvantaged and sometimes homeless children with shelter, food, education and health care, giving them a second chance in life. There are full-time and part-time Malawian staff living with the children, as well as a number of European volunteers, these will assist the boys with their needs, hopefully enabling the children to have the opportunity of brighter future.
