Holiday schemes are expensive and, in the area where we work, household incomes are low and child poverty is relatively high. Children also really benefit from being outdoors during the holidays where they develop in freedom and learn life skills. For children with no outside space and whose parents have no money school holidays can bring little stimulation and opportunity for adventure.

Our free holiday programme is a mix of play, creativity and adventure offering; facilitated play sessions; carnival arts; multi sports sessions; dance and drama; fresh healthy meals daily; trips and residential breaks. Parents and carers are asked to make a very small contribution for lunch and trips however for families who are unable to the contribution is waived.
