Barnet is a borough having over 50.000 students & their parents, over 45% of whom are EAL children and ethnic minority families whose first languages are not English and naturally suffer from language adaptation and proficiency. The ratio of SEN students in both primary and secondary is around 35%, a significant number of parents are entitled to get a housing benefit and the facilities children have are very limited. The project aims to improve the life standards of those families.

Ethnic minority children will spend a really quality time in our centre to improve their reading, writing, arithmetic and creative thinking skills,and their mothers will be able to use the new Language, ICT and Life based skills they will learn in caring, teaching and helping their children as well as eventually having a job . The attendants will also contribute to the local economy as well, as one of the long term solutions against poverty and NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
