    Situation

The comprehensive content of HAT archive is currently mainly invisible to the public. Although HAT already provides a busy enquiry and research service via phone, email and its website www.hatads.org.uk as well as personal visits by students, this involves labour-intensive searches by HAT staff. An online catalogue service with a keyword search facility will enable researchers to find, identify and order relevant material themselves.

    Solution

HAT’s vision is to enable users to search the catalogue of the largest archive of UK advertising in the world from anywhere, at any time, including ‘on the go’ via web enabled mobile devices. Anyone will be able to view catalogues of thousands of records, discover images and data relating to past campaigns and instantly request digital copies of material.
